DAYTONA BEACH, FL - RIS - In a two lap run to the checkers, Kevin Harvick slipped ahead of Greg Biffle just before a push from Jeff Gordon sent Biffle spinning.  With the field frozen when the yellow flag came out, Harvick was the winner for the second year in a row.  It was the seventh Shootout win for Richard Childress Racing.

Harvick led twice for 21 laps and made the pass on Biffle with two laps to go.

"When you go through the year we went through at Richard Childress Racing, this was special," Harvick said.

Harvick had been too sick to practice earlier in the week with flu-like symptoms.  It didn't seem to bother him at all in this 75 lap exhibition race at Daytona International Speedway.

Kasey Kahne finished second despite not pitting during the last round of stops.  It worked out for Kahne despite of the miscue.  All of the other cars with the exception of Kahne and Biffle had new tires, which would have been a tremendous disadvantage.

"It worked out well for us," said Kahne.  "I was having a blast out there.  I really like this new Roush-Yates horsepower."

The first 25 lap segment was dominated by pollsitter Carl Edwards, but when the green flag fell on the final 50 lap run, Harvick and Tony Stewart showed their muscle.  Although Edwards stayed near the front in the beginning of the second segment, he was shuffled back in the field and was caught up in the melee when Gordon got into Biffle.  Edwards led twice for 42 laps.

Jamie McMurray finished third with Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin rounding out the top five.
